Sometimes things don’t go as planned and you are left with nothing but a mess. This is what happened to RAM Academy—they were in dire straits and had no idea how to get themselves out of it. They tried everything they could think of, but none of the ideas stuck. As Monday morning came around, all that was left was for them to close their doors for good--but then something amazing happened!

“How do we get out of this mess?” I asked. They all looked at me like I was crazy. None of them had a clue how to fix the situation that we were in, but they answered nevertheless.

I could feel my heart pounding faster and faster as it got closer to 5 o'clock on Monday morning; our company's doors were going to close for good if someone didn't come up with an idea soon, and fast!

"It seems like there are no other options," said Anna from customer service, "We've tried everything." She had started crying and now so did Julie from marketing. The others just sat there in silence, not knowing what else to say or do until they heard a voice from the corner say:

"Hey everyone, I have an idea!" At first, they all thought it was crazy and said that there was no way it would work but then they saw me take my phone out of my pocket. "Have you guys never hear about sales funnels"? 

"What's that? I never heard of that before!" someone said. "Well, it's a way to create anticipation and excitement about your product or service." They all looked at me like they were expecting more but, as the silence continued for what felt like an eternity, finally one person spoke up:

It's not something that is done overnight but that really could pick us up! I know this guy who is known to skyrocket businesses and he always has a plan for the next steps. Should we call him and as for the help?

What do you think about this idea? They all seemed to agree and, with some hesitation, I got up from my chair and found myself looking at their sad faces as they said: "This is going to be our last hope." 

Might it work? Only time will tell but what other choice did we have anyways?"

I immediately called this online business consultant who knew exactly what to do. He was cold as ice and said "You know it's going to cost a lot"?

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," I said. We're ready to invest in you if you really know what we should do.

"Yes, I know," said the consultant.  "I've been in this situation before."

He went on to tell us that we should take the remaining money and move everything online! "You need to build an irresistible offer that will sell itself and I can do that for you," the consult said.

I started thinking about what he said: "Irresistible offer...sales funnel, huh"

There are many reasons why so many businesses fail, but a big one is that they spend too much time focusing on the wrong things. 1. In the first step, you need to know your avatar and who will be interested in this product. This is important because everything builds around that.

2.The second step can seem a little scary: please either be a highly skilled copywriter or hire one immediately! If these steps aren't followed properly it could end up costing years worth of profit in just months. It's expensive but necessary so that customers keep coming back for more and buy products from us again later down the road. Actually, I lied...It's never expensive to hire a skilled copywriter but not doing so most definitively is. Think of that as your most important investment.

            3.Understand how great offers are made:

This will be one of the most important parts of your business. It can literally change everything from top to bottom, and for this purpose, sales funnels are really designed for...The offer should be designed to take customers on a journey that will put your product or service as the best solution to your customer. There is also really fine science to create an offer that will not only solve your customer problems but give them a new direction to move. A direction, that will turn the customer into a life-long supporter who will buy from you as long as the offer is still relevant and as long as you're able to keep them hooked into your other services and products along the way.

           4.The final part of creating an irresistible sales funnel is...to nurture:

It's actually an important part of the whole funnel to nurture and remind your customer to take action all the time.  This is the last part of your funnel and it's important to have a strategy for this at all times.
